Victoria Park is not just a cherished green space with inspiring horticultural displays, it also features soccer pitches, traditional bowling green, cycling and BMX track, plus dual lakeside walking trails, so there's plenty to occupy you for an afternoon! ) that they're causing worries at the nearby airport. However the airport itself can add a bit of extra excitement for kids as the craft are known to frequently fly over the park extremely low down!
Get the kids over the duck disappointment with a trip to the the playground, though it's not huge and really best for smaller types, or around the lovely Poetry Trail: a collection of engraved plates around the park featuring poems on nature by local primary school pupils. Sweet!
