The Peoples Park

The Peoples Park is a great venue for free family fun, whatever the season, with a number of events to participate in and enjoy throughout the year. There is a well equipped play area for the kids, plus a number of picnic areas, a bowling green, and tennis courts. There is also a Pavilion at the centre of the park, which overlook a large lake that is full of a wide variety of geese and ducks to feed.

During the summer, the park is host to a number of events such as Art in the Park, which is a children's art festival, full of fun, free events to amuse all ages, such as live music, street theatre, and workshops. There is also the Music in the Park event to enjoy, which involves all kinds of music, from brass to pop, and everything in between! The Teddy Toddle Walk is a clearly marked walking route that gives young kids the ideal safe location for a walk in the park, and is available all year.
