About

Covering nearly 130 scenic acres, the charming and Green Flag Awarded Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park features many eminently explorable terrains for your young adventurers, from rolling meadows and dense woodland to serene formal gardens and is home to a wide enough range of plants and animals to grant you a superb mini beast safari, should you fancy it! ) plus terrific children's playground with bonus orienteering and eco trails. There are also a barbecue area, picnic tables and full car parking facilities provided here.

it's worth noting with young ones that the toilets are currently being refurbished so rather basic 'portaloos' have been installed behind Wilmont House, however these don't contain any baby changing facilities. One of the most notable events held here is the Rose Week celebrations every July.
