About

The new Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum is brilliant for sports loving families as it combines state-of-the-art interactive touch screens with its unparalleled collection of tennis memorabilia! Fans can explore the story of the game's inception and the history of the Wimbledon Championships in a vibrant and entertaining fashion. You can see the one and only John McEnroe in a recreation of 1980's Gentlemen's Dressing Room, and listen as he tells stories conveying the drama and emotion of playing the Wimbledon Championships.

Plus, experience what it's like to play on Centre Court in an amazing 200 degree 3D cinema, featuring a cool film on the The Science of Tennis. You can also watch exclusive television interviews made just for the museum with legends of the game. The Wimbledon Tour offers you an extra bit of behind-the-scenes action with a professional Blue Badge guide and fans can also get their picture taken with the famous Championship Trophies!

Kids are well catered for with activities too! In The Reaction Zone they use their powers of speed, stamina and coordination with the aim being to turn off as many lit up tennis balls you can in 30 seconds. Plus, using interactive touch screens, kids can bring the Museum's extensive archive to life.

You lucky museum ticket holders may also visit Centre Court, accompanied by one of the helpful Tour Assistants on a short 10 minute visit just for bragging rights. These visits leave from the Museum Shop every 30 minutes after 15:30.
