About
The Weald & Downland Living Museum covers 50 acres, with nearly 50 historic buildings dating from the 13th to 19th centuries, along with gardens, farm animals, walks and a lake. The buildings are rescued from destruction, the buildings being carefully dismantled, conserved and rebuilt to their original form. These help the museum bring to life the homes, farmsteads and rural industries of the last 1,000 years.
Many buildings situated there are over 400 years old, and still stand strong! Plus, special children's activities are held during half terms and every day during the school holidays.
