Ufton Fields Nature Reserve - Photo 1

About

Ufton Fields Nature Reserve managed in partnership with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, is a haven for natural wildlife with all-weather footpaths providing determined pedestrian access to this collection of varied habitats in every season! The site is noted for its abundance of wild flowers and birds (which you can check out from within a bird hide if you can find one of them! ), with 15 types of dragonfly and 28 different butterflies having been spotted here!

There is fishing available 16th June to 15th March if you've got a permit and many unusual plants thrive at this Nature Reserve too, which was formed when nature took back over the after limestone excavations ceased. A flat and circular, way marked footpath will lead the family ramble, where you may take the family pooch so long as they're on a lead and you've got a pocket full of plastic bags! You're permitted to picnic if you're neat about it too, but the nearest hot food and loos can be found locally in the White Hart Inn in Ufton.

All in all a great spot for a natural family day, with mini beast spotting, bird watching, flower pressing and hiking. Cool!

Good for: all ages, babies toddlers, older children, teenagers, young children
