About

Victoria Park was opened to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1899 and still fills a happy spot in the hearts of the community not least because there are several adventure play areas, a summer paddling pool, loads of space and 10 all weather courts for tennis, bowls and cricket! The flat surfaced circular walk route is precisely half a mile long making it easy to keep track if you and the kids are jogging or cycling or for marking your progress if boarding or skating, plus there's a riverside walk to enjoy too which goes downstream to Warwick or upstream to the town centre and Newbold Comyn. Picnicking and ball games are permitted though try not to do the one where folks are doing the other, plus the seasonal Pavilion Cafe offers inside and outside seating for your snack and caffeine stop!

This is also where the loos are. Most Augusts they host the National Bowls Championship, plus Local, County and Regional bowls competitions in the interrim and spectators are welcome at all of these so it can be a nice spot to bring the grandparents along to with things to keep them entertained while you guys hit the playground for some slightly more rambunctious fun!
