Totnes Rare Breeds is a family-owned attraction, small enough to provide a friendly and personal service, with enough to keep visitors happy all day. One of our main aims at the farm is to help in the conservation of rare breeds. From chickens and ducks to Welsh Mountain sheep and Golden Guernsey Goats, we are trying to do our bit to aid in their survival.
We believe that interaction with animals is important, whether you are 1 years old or 101! Don't miss out on our adorable new arrivals... who are certain to turn you into a an animal fanatic!
just watch out for the greedy goats! Our friendly team of staff and volunteers are always on hand to help you make the most of your experience and answer any questions you may have. Feed and fuss the rare breed sheep and goats; Admire the varied breeds of poultry; Cuddle the guinea pigs; Enjoy educational talks on our fantastic animals and get as close as possible to the splendid owls!
Here you are within hugging range of all the animals. Most enclosures can be entered for close-up stroking, patting and cuddling. The Garden Café Additionally, why not stop off for a refreshing drink or tasty lunch?
Relax and unwind in its peaceful setting, overlooking the Devon countryside and the South Devon Railway. Watch the steam train pass by. Our Café is open to all members of the public, without the need to visit the farm.
