About
Solihull Moors Football Club was founded in 2007 after the merger of two historic clubs: Solihull Borough and Moor Green. Located in Solihull, just outside Birmingham, the club has grown rapidly and become a key fixture in the National League, which is the fifth tier of English football. It’s a club deeply rooted in the local community and known for its welcoming atmosphere, particularly for families with young children.
The club's home ground, the ARMCO Arena (formerly Damson Park), offers a family-friendly environment with modern facilities. The seating is well arranged to ensure that families can enjoy the match from comfortable vantage points. There is a designated family zone which ensures younger fans and parents can enjoy the game in a suitable environment, away from the more boisterous sections of the stadium.
One of the standout features of Solihull Moors FC is the emphasis on community engagement. They regularly host community football camps for children, giving kids the opportunity to develop their football skills and interact with professional coaches. These camps are not just about football but also about teaching values such as teamwork and sportsmanship, making them highly popular with local families.
The club mascot, Soli, is a favourite with the children. Soli can be spotted around the stadium on matchdays, posing for photos and entertaining the younger fans. It's little touches like these that make Solihull Moors a fantastic choice for parents looking for a football club that caters to the whole family.
In addition to football, the club frequently organises themed events, such as Christmas parties and charity fun days. These events offer families more reasons to visit the club outside matchdays, ensuring year-round entertainment for kids and parents alike. Solihull Moors FC has grown in stature over the years and continues to invest in both its team and its facilities.
Recent upgrades to the stadium have included improved accessibility, making it easy for families with young children to navigate their way around. In September 2024, Solihull Moors announced an extension to their partnership with Day Out With The Kids: Solihull Moors Football Club is excited to announce the expansion of its highly successful partnership with Day Out With The Kids for the upcoming season. Over the past year, Day Out With The Kids has closely collaborated with Solihull Moors, particularly through our award-winning Foundation, to create fantastic opportunities for local families.
Now, as Official Club Partners, this exciting partnership is set to grow even further, bringing greater support to families in Solihull and the surrounding areas. As part of the new agreement, Day Out With The Kids will sponsor the soon-to-be-completed Community Hub, located next to the 3G Community Arena and our main stadium pitch. The hub will host a range of matchday activities designed to keep youngsters entertained and engaged.
All Solihull Moors Youth & Junior teams, over 800 kids of all ages, will proudly wear the DOWTK logo on their home and away shirts. In addition, the 3G pitch will proudly carry Day Out With The Kids branding, with hundreds of local footballers of all ages and abilities training and playing on it throughout the week. Further cementing their support for grassroots development, Day Out With The Kids branding will also be featured on the Family Stand and the kits of all youth age group teams.
This sponsorship highlights their commitment to fostering community spirit and family engagement through sport. Solihull Moors Chairman, Darryl Eales, commented: "It has been an absolute pleasure working with the team at Day Out With The Kids over the past year. They share our commitment to community and family values, and we are confident that this partnership will continue to flourish.
" James Morgan, CEO of Day Out With The Kids, added: "We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with Solihull Moors and to support such a vital part of the community. At Day Out With The Kids, we believe in making family time as fun and fulfilling as possible, and this partnership is the perfect way to promote those values.
