About
Withy Grove Park playground is one of the largest free facilities of its type in the North West being the borough's flagship effort and has been designed to contain a range of equipment that caters for all ages across 3 zones. The site is lit until 21:00 in the toddler and junior areas and 22:00 in the teen area, so this really is a community playground, available whenever people need it! For security and public safety the playground is covered by a cctv system, which is reassuring of an evening, and it's on the same side of the park as the Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre and sports pitches.
The western side of the park is currently a bit wilder, nice for mini beast spotting and meadow walks, but it's marked for some landscaping fairly soon. You can find pedestrian access to the park from Sergeant Street, Withy Grove Close and from the Asland Close pedestrian level crossing.
