Come and visit Williamson Park's Butterfly House and Mini Beast Cave and meet all sorts of exciting creepy crawlies, birds and animals. Explore the park and its hidden pathways leading to mosaics, follies and a sundial. Play in the children's playground or picnic on the wide expanses of grass.
Visit the Ashton Memorial which often hosts art exhibitions and activities. Enjoy drinks, cakes and ice cream in the Pavilion Cafe or browse the gift shop for toys, mini-beast themed gifts and souvenirs of Lancaster. The park regularly hosts concerts, courses and children's holiday activities (including storytelling sessions, fire building workshops and wildlife themed days), and is also host to the famous Outdoor Promenade Theatre during the summer which is suitable for families of all ages.
Entry to the park grounds is free; charges apply for the Butterfly and Mini Beast House and the Ashton Memorial Gallery but they're worth every penny! ) with the Family Wild Card just £40 (for up to 2 adults and 2 children) unlimited entry for a whole year!
