About

At Wells Next The Sea Beach swimming, sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing are popular here, and there is a beach warden May to September, and although the tide returns notoriously fast there is an alarm which sounds in plenty of time to shift the kids to safety. Behind the shoreline lies a semi-circular basin, which, at very high tides, rapidly fills to form a spectacular shallow lagoon. Holkham Beach is also part of one of the largest Nature Reserves in the country, which is managed by Natural England in partnership with Holkham Estate.

The Holkham National Nature Reserve is home to many rare species of flora and fauna.
