About

Ulster American Folk Park You and the kids can immerse yourselves in the world famous story of Irish emigration at this dedicated museum that brings the story back to life! Follow the emigrant trail as you journey from the thatched cottages of Ulster, on board a full scale emigrant sailing ship leading to the log cabins of the American Frontier. You can meet and chat with an array of richly costumed characters on your way, often with traditional crafts to show, exciting tales to tell and unusual food to share!

They hold vast collections of vintage agricultural and domestic equipment, plus textiles and transport. There are also oodles of old photos of pioneers to the area, some of which were tragically taken as they embarked on their voyage to their new home on board The Titantic… Plenty to see, do and learn about for all ages of curious kids. As much of the Museum is in a large open air site, it is recommended that sensible shoes and weather suitable clothing be worn.

There's also a family suitable restaurant and even accommodation on site here so if you're thinking of staying in the area and you love your history why not bunk up here and use it as your HQ? Got to be a better decision than The Titanic...
