The Handsam Boat Company

The Handsam Boat Company offer a variety of scenic boat trips down the River Avon at Evesham, departing from the award winning Abbey Park, where you can also picnic to a live musical accompaniment on Sundays in summer. Take your pick from a 25 minute trip on the large vessel which visits Evesham Lock and passes Hampton Church; a private hire 4 stroke outboard motor boat; or a row boat, which is suitable for up to 4 people and you are given buoyancy aids and basic instruction. There is a natural element of weather dependency but not so much with the larger vessel as all the seating is under cover.

The Abbey ruins nearby in the park are also worth a stroll past, with the atmospheric 16th century Bell Tower being a favourite with kids. Sat Nav users should be advised to use WR11 4ST as a postcode when planning their journey.
