About

The Blue Pool Nature Reserve & Tearooms is a great day out for families all year round, nestled in the stunning Furzebrook Estate on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. This historic gem offers 30 acres of beautiful woodland and nature trails to explore. One of the most exciting highlights is the UK’s longest rope bridge, set high amongst the trees, a fun experience for kids and grown-ups alike!

Children will love the adventure play area with swings, climbing frames and balance beams, while the enchanting Gnome & Fairy Trail sparks young imaginations as they search for tiny doors and creatures hidden in the woods. As you wander the peaceful paths, enjoy incredible views of The Blue Pool which can appear different shades of blue and green throughout the year as the sunlight reflects off the water. Keep an eye out for the rich variety of local wildlife - from birds and butterflies to drangonflies and deer, perfect for nature lovers and budding photographers.

When it’s time to take a break, the vintage Art-Deco Tearooms and sunny outdoor terrace with picnic benches and stretch tents for shade, offer the ideal spot to refuel. Enjoy tasty breakfasts and lunch options, as well as indulgent afternoon teas. If you're after a colder treat, head to the Marine Gelato ice cream parlour serving up delicious ice cream flavours.

Don’t forget to browse the charming gift shop, or stop by the plant centre before you leave. Whether you’re creating family memories, taking photos, or simply enjoy being outdoors in nature, The Blue Pool Nature Reserve & Tearooms is a must-visit destination for all ages. What's more there's a whole range of events to attend including outdoor cinemas, Half-Term Halloween Fun, Christmas trails and activities, and the dazzling Illuminate event.
