About
Tam O’Shanter Urban Farm is based in the grounds of the historic thatched cottage Tam O’Shanter used. Visitors are welcome to meet a variety of animals and learn all about nature conservation and the local environment. The animals are well looked after in small paddocks and regularly rotated to prevent over-grazing.
Come and meet pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, geese, rabbits, turkey, cattle, ponies, guinea fowl and more. Throughout the year there are events and seasonal activities, as well as announcements of any new arrivals to the farm. Children can get to know the animals and all about how a farm works as they get close to new and old farm favourites through the activity sheets, which are available to download and educational visits on offer.
