Sutton Park is a perfect spot for an active family adventure! There are chances to enjoy scenic walking, off road and flat tracked jogging, line angling, nature watching, orienteering, plus there are picnic and play areas, public use bridle paths and cycling routes in the Park. The Visitor Centre has displays and exhibitions based on nature conservation , information on nature trails, guided walks, and events, plus a restaurant.
It's a great place to stop in at first and plan your adventure properly! As a home for many uncommon species Sutton Park is an ideal area to watch nature both in terms of mini beasts and creatures of a decent size! In the North of the Park wild Exmoor Ponies roam the heath all year round and can be viewed from a distance, but be sure not to approach or feed them.
There are 2 big playgrounds on site at Town Gate and Banners Gate with a spread of sturdy outdoor adventure play equipment ideally suited to the exercise of 3 to 13 year olds. There is a Baby Changing Facility within the Visitor Centre and toilets can be found at several convent spots including the Town Gate entrance, Visitor Centre and Banners Gate. So even potty trainers and pee machines can be happy and comfortable enjoying Sutton Park!
