Steam Coast Trail

Up for an active family day out in West Somerset? Put on your walking shoes or hop on your bikes and get ready to take on The Steam Coast Trail. Explore 2 trails, both part of an on-going community project to develop a network of multi-use paths to link Minehead to Williton.

Got energy? Do both in the same day! The Phase One path covers a 2km stretch from Dunster Beach almost all the way to Blue Anchor.

Into cycling? You can use the path to connect to 25km of existing cycle paths and B-road cycling. Stunning views and great local attractions, such as Dunster Castle, await along the way.

Little train lovers in the family? Join the 1km Phase Two path from Cobbler’s Steps in Washford to Dragon’s Cross and go steam trainspotting! This part of the Steam Coast Trail is also 100% suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, so the entire family can come along.
