About

This charming natural wonder site at Saint Nectan's Glen is situated where the River Trevillet has delicately carved its way through the swathes of Late Devonian slate and naturally created a splendid 60 waterfall! Over time this itself formed a hole through the original basin where the clear and sparkling waters now cascade into a beautiful valley, stunning to behold and wonderful for family photo backdrops. Rare specimens of plants make this a recognised Site of Special Scientific Interest, which you can have a good think about in the meditation room!

There is also a tea room at the hermitage plus a souvenir shop and modest local art gallery available for visiting. If you'd like to take the bus instead of the family motor then you can alight from one at Trethevy (coming from and back to Boscastle) from whence there is a pleasant 1 mile walk to the attraction.

Good for: older children, teenagers, young children
