About

Sheffield Manor Lodge is the last remains of what was once the Great Sheffield Deer Park. Today you can visit the Discovery Centre to find out how it has changed over its 600 year history and explore the ruins of the once grand Tudor mansion where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned for 14 years. Come on a Saturday tour and you may even run into Bess of Hardwick!

From spring to late autumn the site comes alive with our pictorial meadow flowers. You can see a unique landscape rich in colour and wildlife. Thereâs a handy adventure playground too.

When you're ready for something to eat you can visit the Rhubarb Shed cafe for a traditional farmhouse lunch or stop at one of the picnic areas located around the site.
