Sandown Ski Centre

Sandown Ski Centre welcomes families but you need to plan this one in advance, the kids' sessions are pre arranged and need pre booking, plus the Open Ski (for those who can pass a competency test) runs weekdays but not weekends. The Junior Club runs on Saturday morning and caters for children whether they have skiing experience or have never skied before. All slopes are open for the sole use of those attending Junior Ski Club.

This means they are not open to the general public during these sessions. All sessions must be booked in advance to enable them to allocate the correct number of instructors for the sessions. Private lessons for those over 7 years last for 55 minutes and are available at any time except during open practice sessions.

g. all never skied before, and they won't mix kids with adults. They also offer snowboarding tuition for the over 10s with full support and age appropriate challenges.

All Kids have to wear helmets while skiing, and these are NOT provided, so be sure to take one! Birthday Parties are also offered here with a range of extra elements, including water play, rings (inflatable tubes on which one slides down a ski slope) and sledding.
