About

Love nature, photography and the great outdoors? Then RSPB Minsmere National Reserve is a great place for your family day out. There, you won’t have to worry about running out of things to see and do.

In fact, the park is so large and there’s so much on offer that a day won’t be enough to cover everything. Take the chance to discover the beautiful coastal scenery surrounding RSPB Minsmere. Go down to the beach and catch a glimpse of avocets, bearded tits, bitterns and many other interesting birds.

Explore beautiful nature walks with plenty of hides where you can take shelter and spot some of UK’s rarest wildlife. Or take a backpack and venture into the woodlands beyond the park for even more amazing nature! Don’t know where to begin?

The guides at the nature reserve are always on hand to help you find amazing species. RSPB Minsmere offers loads of activities for families with kids. At the Wild Zone your tots have a play tree and child-sized nests to engage with.

In the Wild Wood, you can get involved too - take a minibeasts safari or work as a team to build a den. And there’s a whole Discovery Centre filled with family-friendly activities too! As we said, one day at RSPB Minsmere just won’t be enough - you’ll be coming back for more!
