9 Best Activities In Bude
How wet are you prepared to get? That is really the Bude question. Seven of the nine places listed here are outdoors and several of them involve water on purpose. Atlantic Pursuits and Monster Slip And Slide - Cornwall both assume a change of clothes in the boot and a towel per child. Only two of the nine have a roof, so a run of bad weather narrows the options fast.

Bude is an outdoor town with a thin wet-weather backup, so watch the forecast and book water activities early in the holidays. Spare clothes, spare towels, and a plan B that does not depend on sunshine.
Visiting Bude with kids: FAQs
What is there to do in Bude when the weather turns?
Honestly, not a great deal on this list. Two entries out of nine put a roof over you, and Splash Leisure Pool, Bude is the main one. A pool session is a decent answer to a wet day because it stops anyone minding the rain in the first place. Bude Mystery Treasure Trail is a walking trail, so it holds up in drizzle if everyone has a hood, though it will not survive a proper downpour.
Which Bude activities suit older children and teenagers?
Segway Bude and EasiGlide SEGWAY EXPERIENCE Bude both appear on this list, and both suit a child old enough to be trusted with something motorised, so check minimum ages before you book anything. Atlantic Pursuits covers activity on the water. Monster Slip And Slide - Cornwall is the sort of thing teenagers pretend to be too cool for and then queue for a second go.
Is Widemouth Bay a good beach with small children?
Widemouth Bay is one of the surf beaches on the north Cornish coast, which cuts both ways with young children: masses of space when the tide is out, and water that demands proper supervision rather than a glance every few minutes. Check the flags and keep everyone between them. If the sea looks like too much on the day, Tamar Lakes is the calmer freshwater option on this list.
