About
There's just so much fun to be had at Whisby Nature Park! You can find the fantastic Little Darters' play area near the Natural World Centre, where it stretches over the water and on to the island! Loaded with unusual fun features like nature exploration towers, earth tunnels, big sand pits and a mole's eye view pod for watching mini beasts up close, plus loads of more traditional play activities too.
The Centre itself offers a wealth of fascinating local information along with fun guided walks led by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. They also operate an exciting events program. The Whisby Nature Tots and Junior Wardens events are held monthly and suit under 5's and 11 to 16's respectively for wildlife projects and outdoor seasonal activities.
There are 6 differing waymarked trails which have different qualities in terms of terrain and scenery. Fancy seeing the water birds? Take the Grebe Walk!
Grazing marsh and Sandhills? You'll want the Magpie Walk! Most of the paths are level and accessible, with 30 seats and 6 bird hides spread around the walks.
Dogs are welcome here on a lead and permitted off the lead if well behaved around the Thorpe Lake area. So bring the kids, bring the dogs, bring the grandparents: heck - bring everybody!
