About
Warrington Museum and Art Gallery has permanent galleries focused on the natural world with loads to look at, including Warrington's very own dinosaur, as well as locally made glass and a history of child-manufacturers who mass produced pins! The Natural History exhibits tend to be the kids' favourites, featuring the Geology and Botany galleries, Fish Gallery and Bird Room. There are also local and social history galleries and a Time Tunnel with hands on history activities that the kids will love.
They can hang out with a highwayman, see a rare early fire engine and visit a Victorian nursery. This is also the bit with the children's hands-on elements including a touch box, a dressing up area and a selection of wooden toys to play with. As well as the permanent displays, the museum provides an award-winning programme of events and temporary exhibitions and the museum runs free family friendly craft activities in the school holidays and Saturdays.
