Marvel at the Smethwick Engine. A winner of a Birmingham Museum Trust's object of the month award, this is the oldest working steam engine in the world, dating back to 1779. Then, in the Spitfire gallery see planes from yesteryear and discover how they were flown and the important part the Spitfire played in World War 2.

Did you know that Birmingham's Castle Bromwich factory produced over 10,000 Spitfires? Find out more about the men and women who helped get this iconic planes in the sky. Science Garden One of the highlights of ThinkTank Birmingham Museum is the Science Garden, an outdoor space filled with interactive exhibits that showcase the wonders of physics, biology, and engineering.
