Marvel at the Smethwick Engine. A winner of a Birmingham Museum Trust's object of the month award, this is the oldest working steam engine in the world, dating back to 1779. Then, in the Spitfire gallery see planes from yesteryear and discover how they were flown and the important part the Spitfire played in World War 2.
