The Crafty Beanie

Step into The Crafty Beanie, Saffron Walden’s family craft studio where creativity, colour and fun come alive. Designed for all ages, our welcoming space is packed with hands-on activities that guarantee smiles and lasting memories. Children can paint pottery, design canvas art, make slime, or bring a cuddly teddy to life, while grown-ups join in with their own projects or relax with a coffee.

Our Little Makers toddler sessions introduce the youngest artists (ages 1–5) to safe, sensory crafts, while school-aged children can develop skills and confidence in our After School Club. Seasonal workshops, themed events, and even evening paint-and-sip sessions mean there’s always something new to try. We provide everything you need – from paints, brushes and aprons to squash and biscuits – so families can simply turn up and create.
