The Clayrooms Loughborough

At the Clayrooms Loughborough we have six shimpo wheels where you'll learn the basics of throwing clay on the potter's wheel. In this private session, your party can dive into the wonderful world of pottery together. Throughout this hands-on experience, our fabulous tutors will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you gain a solid foundation in the art of throwing.

At the end of the taster session we will cut through all our creations and gain an understanding of our pots inside and out - but don’t worry, all the clay from these workshops are recycled to live on as new pots. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some previous experience, our workshop is designed for individuals of all skill levels. We understand that starting something new can be intimidating, but rest assured, our friendly and supportive environment will put your fears at ease.

Our dedicated tutors will take the time to explain the techniques and demonstrate the process and be on hand to help throughout! Join us for a workshop where you'll learn how to sculpt or hand-build with clay. In this private session, your family can dive into the wonderful world of pottery together.

Throughout this hands-on experience, our fabulous tutors will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you gain a solid understanding of the art of sculpting or hand-building with clay. You can choose to make the following: -Cat or Dog Sculpture -Pinch pot animals -Fabulous planter or mug -Super Sea urchins -Dip Bowls and Tray Please note the whole party is required to choose the same make for their session. At the end of your session you will leave your creation with us and it will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed by our team, ready for collection or posting out in a few weeks time.

Joing us for a private party! Brilliant fun for any group of children. At their party children will be shown how to make personalised pinch pot creatures, using the highest quality clay and tools.

We have some refreshments in the studio but feel free to bring a cake! The pieces will be kept for finishing and firing, and will be ready to collect and keep after a couple of weeks. So your child can create their own ceramic keepsake with their friends and family.
