About

There's a certain excitement attached to Southsea Skatepark for skaters who know their stuff: build in the 1950s itâs almost certainly the oldest skatepark in the world, the very definition of âold schoolâ! Substantial remodeling and modernisation over the years means itâs every bit as valid to ride as the modern jobs, with that added sense of history. The venue is so respected Standout features include concrete bowl and snake run; modern rink with ledges, rails, banks, plus multi mini and vert ramps.

There are coaching lessons available for those just getting their feet, with a bit of friendly expert guidance and access to the full runs and set ups as you progress. They do not offer hire facilities so you do need to bring your chosen mount and adequate padding including helmet. Please note that your equipment must be deemed safe to ride, and that all scooters and bikes have bar ends.

Good for: older children, teenagers, young children
