About

At Sherwood Forest Country Park one can browse around the Visitor Centre shops or relax after a stroll in the Forest Table Restaurant. Take a walk to the mighty Major Oak, pick up one of their fun family nature trails, or just stand and admire the weird and wonderful shapes of the ancient oak trees, twisted by age and weathered into living sculptures. Almost everything is wheelchair and buggy accessible too, and there is a small children's adventure playground outside the visitor centre for them to burn off some energy and play Robin Hood.

On high days, events and holidays they have costumed characters performing throughout the park, juggling, riding horses and performing acrobatics, so it's well worth allowing some extra time and taking a few more pence along to grab some extra summer fun!
