About
Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum was set up in 1964, after former championship rider Sammy Miller put a few of his old racing motorcycles in the corner of his parts business, and turned into a museum with over 350 machines, one of the largest collections in the world! Unlike most museums with static collections, this is a live museum where the machines are run in classic bike events whenever the opportunity presents itself! There are many awesome machines to discover here: see racing bikes such as the V8 Moto Guzzi, Velocette, AJS Excelsiors, and 100s more in the Racing Hall, which purportedly has the most exotic collection of racing bikes in the world!
You can also see the bike on which Sammy raced to third on in the World Championships! Imagination fuel for sure. The Road Bike Hall has a great collection of factory prototype bikes, plus ingenious and fascinating designs from around the world, including multi cylinder motorcycles.
Meanwhile the Sports Bike Hall contains a sublime collection of single, twin, triple, four, five, and eight cylinder bikes! Guaranteed to delight your redheads, young and old! There is a selection of craft shops at the museum, plus a tearoom, and children's play area with sturdy outdoor equipment best suited to 3 through 10 years.
The kids can also pop and meet a variety of friendly animals, such as alpacas, sheep, rabbits, donkeys, goats, chickens, and countless other birds, including 2 American turkeys charmingly called Salt and Pepper!
