Outdoor Family Adventures in Worthing
Worthing's outdoor filter returns one beach and five other things, which is the reverse of what a seaside town leads you to expect. Worthing Beach is there, but so are Brooklands Go Karts Mini Moto Circuit for engines and High Salvington Windmill for a working piece of machinery up on the hill, plus three swimming listings in The Worthing Lido, Splashpoint and Findon Swimming Pool. Half the set is tagged indoor into the bargain, so the label does less work on this page than a count of six implies.
Worthing's wider listing holds the covered attractions this filter strips away, and with only six entries here you may need both pages to fill a day. The swimming entries are the ones most likely to be mislabelled, so confirm what sort of pool you are heading for.
Outdoor activities in Worthing: FAQs
Are these pools actually outdoor pools?
Not all of them, despite the flag. The Worthing Lido and Splashpoint carry indoor markers as well, and Findon Swimming Pool wears an outdoor tag and nothing else, which looks wrong for a village pool. We have logged it. Until it is corrected, ring the pool and ask what you are getting, because arriving with the wrong kit is an irritating way to start a Saturday.
Our child hates the sea. What then?
Brooklands Go Karts Mini Moto Circuit has nothing to do with water at all, and it tends to land well with children who want something to drive. High Salvington Windmill is the quiet option — a building with moving parts rather than a play site, better suited to a child drawn to machinery than to one who simply wants to tear around.
Will six entries carry a whole weekend?
Not on its own. This filter has cut Worthing's family listing down to a set that mostly involves swimming or the seafront, and there is a limit to how many times you can do either across two days. Pair this page with the town's full listing so you have covered options as well, particularly if the forecast turns on you.
