The National Memorial Arboretum is the Nation’s year-round place to remember, a space where everyone can celebrate lives lived and remember lives lost. A beautiful and inspiring place, the 150-acres of the Arboretum form a living landscape, a home to more than 400 memorials waiting to be discovered. Miles of pathways make exploring accessible, and trails, exhibitions, and holiday activities help to bring the Arboretum's stories to life for families.

The Arboretum is open throughout the year and is free to enter. Facilities at the Arboretum include: - Onsite Car Park with level access into the Arboretum - Accessible toilets, including baby changing facilities and a Changing Places Toilet. - On site Coffee Shop and Restaurant with a fresh daily menu featuring locally sourced ingredients - Two children's play areas and Stick Man outdoor trail - Mobility scooters and wheelchairs available for hire Things to do: The National Memorial Arboretum has something for all ages, from outdoor trails and holiday activities, to leisurely strolls that can end at one of our children's play areas.

Our youngest visitors will enjoy joining Stick Man on his journey back to the family tree. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for Stick Man himself along the route! You can pick up a free copy of the self-led trail from our Welcome Desk, available everyday.

Here at the Arboretum, we also have two outdoor play areas available for young visitors to enjoy. Our Children’s Sensory Play Garden can be found near to the Remembrance Centre. A second children’s play area, with a picnic area, can be found further into the Arboretum grounds.

We also hold lots of exciting activities throughout the year which are designed to help our youngest visitors learn more about the Arboretum, why it’s important to remember and the wildlife in our grounds - you can find out more about what is coming up on our website. Food and Drink: Our restaurant is open 10am – 3pm daily and serves a range of hot food, sandwiches, soups and cakes suitable for all ages. Our range of children’s meals ensure that even the pickiest eaters will find something they can enjoy.

Families can dine in our indoor and outdoor seating area, or you can bring your sandwiches with you and enjoy them in our many picnic and play areas. You’ll find one of our picnic areas next to the Children’s Play area in the Children’s Wood. Travel and Parking: The Arboretum is located just off the A38/A513 between Lichfield and Burton upon Trent.

If you are using a Sat Nav to find us, please use our postcode DE13 7AR. Wider family friendly spaces can be found near to the Remembrance Centre. A drop-off/pick-up area is located next to our entrance.

While entry into the Arboretum is free, a small parking charge applies to all cars, including blue badge holders, to help support the work of the Arboretum, a UK registered charity (1043992). Parking is charged at £4 for vehicles that have booked in advance, or £6 on the day. Further information, including getting to us using public transport, can be found on our website.
